North American Indian Association of Detroit 75th Anniversary Comprehensive Needs Assessment
In partnership with MSU-Extension, MSU Outreach & Engagement, the North American Indian Association of Detroit, American Indian Health and Family Services, Southeastern Michigan Indians, Inc, and American Indian Veterans of Michigan, Inc, the Native American Institute is hosting the Detroit American Indian Needs Assessment Survey. This survey is open to households with at least one individual who self-identifies as American Indian in the seven country metro area of Detroit. Only one individual per household may take the survey, and that individual is eligible to receive a $20 Target Gift Card for taking the survey. More details can be found at the beginning of the survey and details for eligibility for the gift card are at the end of the survey. If you live in one of the following counties, please take our survey! Your voice counts and the results of this survey will be used to help development programming priorities to better serve the Detroit American Indian community for all of the partner organizations.

Michigan Federally-Recognized Tribes Extension Program
Michigan State University is part of a network of universities that host a Federally-Recognized Extension Program (FRTEP); designed to provide extension programming on Indian reservations. The Michigan FRTEP currently serves four federally-recognized tribes and focuses on programs related to local food systems and horticulture (MI-FRTEP-Highlight 2008). NAI assists MSU Extension with the administration of the Michigan FRTEP.
